Profile Daya Pertiwi Foundation


Based on its background as provided earlier, DPF  has set and formulated its principles, objectives, strategies and work programs as follows:

Principles

Its principles are based on the Unity in Diversity on which DPF  carries out its development activities that are geared towards the establishment of a just, welfare and civilized society. DPF  is by no means a political organization, nor a religion-based but it’s an organization concerned with the development in the field of social economy and environment preservation. DPF does not support any political party.

Being unity in diversity-based means that attention and services must be given justly to all parties concerned being the people receiving directly the benefits of DPF activities i.e. people of the low-income bracket as beneficiaries,  business people and employees and other relevant parties.

Mission of Daya Pertiwi Foundation

  1. Preserving and protecting the environment that reduces the negative impact of climate change, while taking advantage of potential new opportunities.It involves adjusting policies and actions because of observed or expected changes in climate.
  2. Provide services to improve the lives and livelihoods of marginalized communities.
  3. Createa community to be able to fulfill daily need continuously.
  4. Generate the fulfillment of a healthy standard of living for to the community, nature preservation and ecosystem balance.

To realize the performance of a good institution, this Strategic Plan has been prepared. One principle of the DPF as an organization is that the organization has to be transparent. People have to know and understand the organizational vision, mission, strategy and structure they are supposed to work in, and that specific results the organization should achieve are systematic, measurable, attainable, as realistic as possible and timely.

Objectives

DPF's objectives are:

  1. To boost the social-economic welfare of the people.
  2. To guide and motivate the community, relevant government and privated agencies in the country (and or if possible other countries) to adopt ecosystem-based approaches;
  3. To improve of the condition of the physical environment, preserve the environment, especially forests, and prevent environmental degradation;
  4. To empower local communities with the ability of the organization, knowledge and skills to manage resources in a green economic development perspective;
  5. To increase revenue local businesses and expanding field of work opportunities;
  6. To strengthen of the targeted organizations/groups so that they become independent and able to take roles in the economical development.

Strategies

To achieve the above objectives, DPF has developed 5 strategies, as follows:

  1. Expand on an integrated development approach. Apply and Implement adaptation of climate change in development design and planning program to preserve the environment
  2. Act as facilitator, catalyst and mediator for poor farmers, farm labours, small and medium-scale business in solving problems relating to their business activities.
  3. Establish and expand cooperation with stakeholders, i.e. government authorities, Private and State Corporations, banking sectors, business community, universities as well as international institutions.
  4. Expand the self-reliant groups or individual businesses
  5. Expanding adaptation to nature and ecosystem-based development, which can support DPF services for the benefit of the community and ecosystem sustainability.

Monitoring and Evaluation

Monitoring of project progress will always be ensured via the yearly definition and quarterly follow-up of an operational plan and of the output indicators defined in the logical framework. Donor staff will visit the project at least once a year. An externally facilitated internal evaluation will always be yearly conducted and an in-depth end-of-project evaluation is foreseen.

Since the year of 1985 till now, the financial of DPF  has been audited by an independent public accountant for every six months.
